Designed for babies from birth to 12 months of age, Learn and Play with Baby is a chance to learn about how your baby grows and learns. Together, you and your baby will get time to play while exploring new developmental topics each month – making it fun for baby and interesting for you.
Research shows caregivers and parents who are actively involved and engaged in their child’s early intervention, learning and activity, help their children establish lifelong healthy habits. At this class, under the direction of a pediatric physical therapist and developmental specialist, you get to participate in your baby’s development in order to achieve proven, lasting healthy habits for your precious little one.

Tuesday, July 23 • 10-11 a.m.. – Baby Massage
Help your baby with relaxation techniques, range of motion activities and methods to help with common concerns like constipation.
Tuesday, Aug. 27 • 10-11 a.m.. – Baby’s first year of motor development
Ever wonder about things like, “when should my baby roll over, sit up or start walking?” Attend this class to learn about typical milestone progressions including what to expect and when. Also, learn strategies to help if your child is struggling to accomplish a certain skill.
Tuesday, Sept. 24 • 10-11 a.m.. – Car Seat Safety
Is my baby safe in the car? The Center for Childhood Safety — our local and knowledgeable resource for childhood safety topics — will present facts about proper installation of your child’s car sear, as well as information about when to change to a new seat.

It’s no secret, we could all use more sleep. It’s not only important for baby’s development, but also for the mental and physical health of both you and your little one. Learn about the art and science of helping your baby (and you) sleep!
Tuesday, Nov. 19 • 10-11 a.m.. – Get Ready for Christmas
Trying to figure out what your baby may like for Christmas, or wondering what toys are beneficial for development of will grow with your child, can be hard! This class will provide ideas and show you how to look at toys in a new way.
Tuesday, Dec. 17 • 10-11 a.m.. – Yoga, Baby!
Doing yoga activities with your baby is beneficial for you, but also incorporates your baby into an early concept of a healthy lifestyle. You’ll be provided with resistance and balance techniques, and learn how to safely incorporate your child into yoga!
