2026 summer camp guide
Figuring out childcare for your kids for the summer and how to keep them occupied, safe, busy and challenged is a struggle many parents face. There are lots of summer camp options in the Green Bay area and it can be hard to be aware of all the options, narrow them down and know what they offer. Let’s go mommy makes the process a little easier for parents by listing select local summer camp options and the info about them in its annual “let’s go to summer camp” guide.
Air Force Gymnastics Summer Camps
Take the “Bummer out of Summer” with Air Force Gymnastics Camps. Our half-day camps will keep the fun rolling all morning long for school-age kids who are looking for ACTION! One hour of structured gymnastics, crafts, bounce houses and games center around a fun theme each week. And what truly makes our camps extra special is our second-to-none camp staff! We are super flexible–you can sign up for a week at a time, the same day each week, or just one or two days throughout the summer. Join us for Flips, Friends, and Fun!! We can’t wait to make summer 2026 the best one yet.

Kids should bring a water bottle and wear comfortable athletic clothes to camp. 8AM early drop-off option available for an additional $5 fee. Center for Childhood Safety
Safety Town is a week-long summer camp that has run for over 20 years and has taught safety skills to over 4,000 children in Brown County and beyond. The program offers classroom segments, guest presenters, and hands-on experience on the streets of the specially designed, child-sized Safety Town complete with buildings, roads, pavement markings, traffic signals, and street signs. We host two different age groups, “Safety Town” for 4 to 6-year-olds and “Safety Town 2” for 7 to 10-year-olds. Some of the safety topics covered are: Pedestrian, Bicycle, Poison, Electric, Pet, Playground, Fire, Car Seat & Bus.

Children’s Museum of Green Bay Summer Camps
Join The Children’s Museum of Green Bay for summer fun and learning! Children can enjoy 4-day camps led by trained instructors. Choose from half-day or full-day camps. Camps will be STEAM focused. STEAMworks camps will explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, using robotics, circuits, 3D printing, slime, and much more! Learn through creativity, projects, and brain-building fun! Museum play included.

Robots & Coding: Join us as we introduce robotics, programming and coding. We will step into the world of STEM to explore robots and coding through games and experiments.
August 11-14
Crazy Concoctions: We are oozing with fun! Come mix, mash and blend unexpected ingredients to create a collection of crazy concoctions. Slime and oobleck and messes, oh my!
August 18-21
Space Explorers: Blast off into a stellar summer as we travel light years out of this world and into outer space! We’ll learn about planets, the solar system, galaxies and stars through cosmic crafts and hands-on science.

Kroc Community Center Summer Camps
The Green Bay Kroc Center offers a wide range of camp activities to serve your camper’s interests and summer care needs. Our all day, outdoor day camp is licensed by the State of Wisconsin, developed and delivered in a faith-based environment, and is structured to provide children the opportunity to grow and develop in a safe and positive atmosphere. The Kroc Center Summer Day Camp ensures sufficient staff-to-camper ratios. Camp groups generally range from 15-25 campers per group. Specialty camps accept 10-12 campers each depending on camp. A minimum of 2 staff will always be present.

Day Camp: $215 (members) or $245 (non-members) per week
Specialty Camp: $290 (members) or $320(non-members) per week

Registration is now open for everyone. Registration/full payment due by noon on Wednesday the week prior to camp.
Good to know
Non-refundable $50 registration processing fee per camper due upon registration. Scholarships and financial assistance available to those who qualify. Please reach out to the Youth Development Supervisor for more information at 920-544-4975. Campers will be grouped by age: 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12. Early care drop-off at 7AM and/or late pick-up care at 5PM is available for an additional fee per week, per camper. All accounts must enroll in autopay with payments drafted on Thursday. Each camper will be provided with a cold breakfast at 9AM and a hot lunch at 11:40AM. Campers may choose to bring their own bag lunch from home. Campers should wear closed-toe shoes and bring a water bottle, swimsuit & towel (Mon, Wed, Fri), and sunscreen to camp. Camp is held exclusively outdoors unless there is inclement weather.

National Railroad Museum
The National Railroad Museum offers 3 week-long summer railroad camps that are educational and entertaining for young train enthusiasts and geared to certain age groups. The camps offer the perfect blend of education and excitement for young train enthusiasts. From operating an authentic 1800s handcar and building HO scale train models to crafting creative train-themed projects, every day is packed with discovery and fun. Along the way, campers dive into the rich history of trains while making new friends who share their passion for railroads. We will also be offering a 3-day Girl’s STEM Leadership Camp which is specially tailored for young women! If your child is a train-lover, this is the perfect camp for them!

Locomotive Firemen Camp (Ages 5-7): This is our first camp experience for the youngest railroaders. The camp day is short, but packed with train-related activities. We will work on crafts, play train games and build a toy train layout.

Junior Engineers Camp (Ages 8-11): This camp is designed for younger train engineers. The camp day is a little longer and full of exciting activities around the trains. The Junior Engineers will have fun exploring trains, and we will do some basic model railroad activities.
July 27-31: 9AM-2PM
Advanced Engineers Camp (Ages 12-18): Our advanced camp is devoted to more sophisticated model railroading projects. The Advanced Engineers also take a one-day field trip to several professional railroad-related sites outside the Green Bay area. This camp goes beyond any previous camp experiences.

Odyssey Climbing & Fitness

YMCA Summer Camps
The YMCA offers a variety of weeklong camp experiences with fun themes, from full-day urban and outdoor day camps to specialty and overnight camps. Camps run from June 8th through August 21st and are state licensed or accredited by the American Camp Association.

Teen leadership programs are offered all sessions. They are designed to develop competent and confident young leaders. Spend a week learning leadership skills and techniques to last a lifetime. Start with Counselor in Training camp for ages 14-16, then progress to Assistant Counselor camp for ages 16-17.

Good to know
All fees are due prior to camp session. After registration, a 2-week written notice is required to cancel your child’s week of camp and receive a partial refund. No refunds given with less than a 2-week notice. Health forms are required and must be submitted to camp at least 2 weeks prior to your child’s camp session.
