Figuring out childcare for your kids for the summer and how to keep them occupied, busy and challenged is a struggle many parents face. There are lots of summer camp options in the Green Bay area and it can be hard to be aware of all the options, narrow them down and know what they offer. Air Force Gymnastics Summer Camps

Take the Bummer out of Summer with Air Force Gymnastics Camps. Our half-day camps will keep the fun rolling all morning long for school-age kids who are looking for ACTION! Gymnastics lessons, activities, projects, bounce houses and games center around a fun theme each week. We are super flexible–you can sign up for a week at a time, the same day each week, or just one or two days throughout the summer. Join us for Flips, Friends, and Fun!!

Children’s Museum of Green Bay Summer Camps

Join The Children’s Museum of Green Bay for summer fun and learning! Children can enjoy 4-day afternoon camps led by trained instructors. Camps will be STEAM or Art focused. STEAMworks camps will explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, using robotics, circuits, 3D printing, slime, and much more! Art camps will explore the world of art using a variety of tools and techniques while creating colorful masterpieces along the way. Learn through creativity, projects, and brain-building fun! Edge VR Arcade Summer Camps

Further your child’s education this summer in a fun and exciting way! At Edge Summer Camps, choose from Educational VR, Game-Maker and Filmmaker camps. VR Camp will include virtual reality experiences that teach topics such as history, biology, science, astronomy, and STEM. This program is designed with balance in mind to ensure the campers get an optimal mix between VR fun and games while still learning something new every step of the way. In Game-Maker Camp, kids will learn how to make their own game from start to finish using the program RPG Maker. They will make their own characters, maps, storylines, learn coding concepts and more! With Filmmaker Camp, kids will learn everything they need to know to make, write, film and edit their own short film from professional directors, cinematographers and animators. Each camp includes lunch, snacks and all needed supplies.

Kroc Community Center Summer Camps

The Salvation Army Kroc Community Center offers weeklong camp options all summer long that run from June 12th through August 18th for ages 5-15. At The Salvation Army Summer Camp kids will spend their days in a structured environment, learning, playing, swimming, creating, exploring, making friends and having fun. Kids are cared for by trained staff at this state-licensed camp located at the Kroc Center. A variety of themes will be covered each week from sports, art and games to STEM, culture and history. Camps for 5-6 year olds are separate from ages 7-12 with themes tailored to their age. Or try teen leadership camp for ages 13-15 where teens will learn essential life skills to become positive role models and leaders.

Good to know
Non-refundable $20 deposit per week required to reserve spot. Scholarships and financial assistance available to those who qualify. Early care drop-off at 7AM is available for an additional $10 per day or $30 per week, per camper. Late-care pick up at 6PM is available for an additional $10 per day or $30 per week, per camper. All accounts must enroll in autopay with payments drafted on Thursday. Each camper will be provided with a snack at 9AM and 3PM and lunch at noon each day. Campers may choose to bring their own bag lunch from home. Campers should bring a water bottle, swimsuit & towel (Mon, Wed, Fri), gym shoes and sunscreen to camp.

National Railroad Museum

The National Railroad Museum offers week-long summer railroad camps that are educational and entertaining for young train enthusiasts. Participants will engage in a variety of activities while learning about trains and making friends along the way.

Locomotive Firemen Camp (Ages 5-7): This is our first camp experience for the youngest railroaders. The camp day is short, but packed with train-related activities. We will work on crafts, play train games and build a toy train layout.

July 10-14: 9AM-12:30PM
Junior Engineers Camp (Ages 8-11):
This camp is designed for younger train engineers. The camp day is a little longer and full of exciting activities around the trains. The Junior Engineers will have fun exploring trains, and we will do some basic model railroad activities.

July 17-21: 9AM-2PM
Advanced Engineers Camp (Ages 12-18):
Our advanced camp is devoted to more sophisticated model railroading projects. The Advanced Engineers also take a one-day field trip to several professional railroad-related sites outside the Green Bay area. This camp goes beyond any previous camp experiences.

Sports Emporium Summer Soccer Camp

Fine tune your soccer skills or learn the basics with the Sports Emporium Summer Soccer Camp. Choose from half or full days. St Norbert Summer Youth Soccer Camp

St. Norbert Youth Soccer Camp offers individuals an opportunity to improve their soccer ability in a fun and challenging soccer environment. Skill development, technique and game play will be emphasized to enable each camper to reach his or her full potential as a soccer player. Instruction will focus on improving dribbling, passing, shooting and small sided games. Individual attention will give campers the opportunity to improve their own abilities in a competitive, safe environment. Campers will have the opportunity to display newly learned techniques in large group games while working with current and former SNC players. Sessions will be broken up through a three-and-a-half-day period. All sessions will be directed by Men’s Head Soccer Coach Derek Rhodes who brings professional and Division 1 playing experience as well as years of coaching at High School, Club, and College Levels.

All training will take place at Schneider Stadium at St Norbert College. Choose from commuter or residential options. Residential campers stay overnight in the St Norbert College dorms. Girls and boys will stay in the same dorm but on separate floors with gender specific counselors. Camp counselors will be present at all times and will stay in dorms for residential camps. Campers should bring a ball, shin guards, soccer cleats, running shoes and indoor shoes to camp. Find a complete list of what to bring here. Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt. A full-time trainer will also be present at all training sessions. Camp fee includes all meals but campers should bring money for additional purchases. Registration will remain open until camp is full. Registration is not complete until online registration is received. Players who cancel at least 10 days in advance may get a full refund minus 5.75% convenience fee. Refunds less than 10 days in advance will be charged a $15 fee. No refunds after June 9th.

Starz Gymnastics Academy Summer Camps

Starz is offering Preschool & Recreational Summer Camps for 6 weeks this summer with different themes each week. Attend one week, all weeks or anywhere in between! Each day camps will begin with warm-up games related to the camp theme. Students will stretch and review gymnastics and tumbling shapes and terminology, then rotate through gymnastics events including vault, bars, beam, floor and trampoline. All campers will be guided through drills and skills appropriate to their experience level. Campers will also enjoy a snack time (bring-your-own) and creating a camp-themed craft each day.

Warrior Jungle

At Warrior Jungle Summer Camps kids will learn ninja, climbing and parkour skills. Mix and match classes based on your schedule and interest!

YMCA Summer Camps

The YMCA offers a variety of weeklong camp experiences, from half-day camps for younger kids to full-day urban or outdoor day camps to overnight camps. Camps run from June 12th through August 25th and are state licensed or accredited by the American Camp Association. There are also various teen leadership camps for ages 14-17.

Teen Leadership Camp for ages 14-17 (Monday through Friday 9AM-4PM)

Teen leadership programs are offered all sessions. They are designed to develop competent and confident young leaders. Spend a week learning leadership skills and techniques to last a lifetime. Start with Counselor in Training camp for ages 14-16, then progress to Assistant Counselor camp for ages 16-17.

 

Number of Campers Accepted
Kids Camp up to 90 campers per week with staff to camper ratio of 1:12-14. Camp Wabansi up to 100 campers per week with staff to camper ratio of 1:8. Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya up to 120 campers per week with staff to camper ratio of 2:10.

 

Cost
Kids Camp: $205 (members) or $235 (non-members) per week.
Camp Wabansi: $289 (members) or $314 (non-members) per week, plus save 20% for each additional week.
Specialty Camps: Zip Line Adventure & Shipwreck Exploration: $453 (members) or $478 (non-members) per week/ Survivor Camp: $325 (members) or $350 (non-members) per week.
Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya: See website for tiered pricing.
Teen Leadership Camp: tiered pricing for CIT, $1563, $1446, $1328.
Assistant Counselor: $200.
*Financial assistance is available for eligible families.

Registration will remain open until all spots are filled.

 

Good to know
All fees are due prior to camp session. After registration, a 2-week written notice is required to cancel your child’s week of camp and receive a partial refund. No refunds given with less than a 2-week notice. Health forms are required and must be submitted to camp at least 2 weeks prior to your child’s camp session.

YWCA Summer Camp Downtown

The YWCA in downtown Green Bay has a great summer camp program! They offer weeklong camp experiences with a wide variety of fun activities including their unique “rooftop” playground and awesome 88 degree pools! Kids will enjoy outdoor recreation at local parks, the downtown CityDeck, field trips to area attractions, TECHGYRLS (for girls 3rd grade and up), trips to the library, running club, literacy collaboration with Green Bay Area Public Schools, service learning projects and more! Camps run from June 12th through September 1st.

Good to know
The YWCA is a state-licensed childcare facility. There are flexible scheduling and rate options for summer camps available upon request including rates for 2, 3 or 4-day rates. The YWCA accepts Wisconsin Shares as payment for families who qualify for assistance from the state.  Camps include daily breakfast, lunch and snacks along with all activities/field trips and weekly pool play swim.
