Let’s go mommy is introducing a BRAND NEW EVENT called “Let’s Get Connected”. This event will be a great opportunity for families to get more involved and aware of the resources in our community in a kid/family-friendly setting.
We are so excited and thankful for Foster the Village to be our first hosts and kickstarting this event with us!
Foster The Village provides support to the foster care community in Brown County. They are a non-profit, resource center for children in out-of-home care. They offer clothes, shoes, and other essential needs for kids in foster care along with providing support groups for foster parents and events for children in foster care. This is a great resource to donate children’s items to that you do not need anymore!
Foster the Village has an outdoor playground for kids to play on while parents take some time to learn about the closet and more about foster care in Brown County.
Also attending this event will be a Foster Care Coordinator and Volunteer Service worker from Brown County so you can learn more about other needs in the community.
We all know it takes a village to raise a family, this is not any different for foster parents and foster children. They need our help and support and this will be a great chance to learn more and see if there are any ways we can get involved. If nothing else, this will be a great opportunity to see the amazing resources Foster the Village provides and find out how easy it is to donate your items.
This event is FREE, however we ask for a donation of any children’s hygiene items if you are able. Examples would be: toothbrushes, lice kits, shampoos, diaper cream, and etc. or even a kids HALLOWEEN costume!
