Meet Nicole Turensky!
Q: What town/city do you live in?
A: I am from Germantown, Wisconsin and currently live in Suamico. I love the Suamico community.
Q: How many kids do you have?
A: I have 2 daughters.
Q: What are their ages?
A: Jayden is 5 and Taylor is 2. They are polar opposites which makes life a little more fun!
Q: Do you work outside the home? If so, where & what do you do?
A: I love my job! I am a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty. I get to meet the most wonderful people and help them with one of the biggest decisions of their life! If you or someone you know is looking to buy or sell their home, I would love to help them out. Now is a GREAT time! Interest rates are low and the inventory is low, so homes are selling fast for top dollar! Please follow my Facebook business page here.
Q: What is your favorite at-home activity to do with your kids?
A: I love to read with my girls! It is a nice down time that we can snuggle, connect and learn together.
Q: Where is your favorite place around Green Bay to take your kids?
A: I have a few favorite places to take my kids in Green Bay. I love going to open gymnastics at Starz Academy and Tri-County Gymnastics to let them get some exercise and burn off energy. I also love story time at the Weyers-Hilliard Library in Howard.
Q: If you had one parenting tip to share that has worked for you/helped you, what would it be?
A: Being a mom is hard work. I have found that being adventurous and getting outside helps with those stressful moments. When my kids (or myself) are having a bad day or multiple meltdowns, fresh air seems to get us back to “home base”. I am also a firm believer that as a parent you MUST follow-through and stick to your word. Life gets busy and sometimes I struggle with this because it takes more time, but it is important. As moms, we have to remember, WE are the BOSS!
Q: What is your favorite thing to do for yourself when you have time?
A: I am a firm believer that you need balance in life. I find that balance when I take time for myself to exercise and train for triathlons and half marathons.
Q: Are you a night owl or an early bird (despite what you have to be as a mom)?
A: I am a night owl. I also waitress at Mackinaws part-time and this has led me to staying up late. I try to get to bed earlier on nights I do not work, but my body is just not ready!
Q: What is something not many people know about you?
A: When I was younger I wanted to be a semi-truck driver. I wanted to travel the roads of the United States and jam out to good music!
Thanks for sharing with us, Nicole. Check back next week to meet another area mom!
