Meet Kathy Adams McIntosh!
Q: What town/city do you live in?
A: Green Bay
Q: How many kids do you have?
A: Five
Q: What are their ages?
A: 14, 12, 8, 5 and 2
Q: Do you work outside the home? If so, where & what do you do?
A: As a mom, I do a variety of things to bring income to our house while maintaining the flexibility I need for the kids. This includes teaching as an adjunct at area colleges, leading a team of online tutors and freelance bookkeeping.
Q: What is your favorite at-home activity to do with your kids?
A. Craft projects.
Q: Where is your favorite place around Green Bay to take your kids?
A: We like going to parks in the summer. The older kids are not as excited as they used to be, but they still have fun.
Q: If you had one parenting tip to share that has worked for you/helped you, what would it be?
A: Every week, I get up early and take one child out for breakfast and a ride to school. This gives us some one-on-one time to start the day and that child doesn’t have to take the bus that day.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do for yourself when you have time?
A: Reading and writing.
Q: Are you a night owl or an early bird (despite what you have to be as a mom)?
A: Definitely a night owl.
Q: Share a funny quote from you child.
A: “If you make a mistake with chocolate, it’s not a mistake. It’s a piece of art that you can eat.”
Q: Share an embarrassing moment.
As a good mom, I took my kids to the library for a scheduled event. I was holding my fourth child, who was 2 at the time, and standing back by the wall so that others could see. She was being so good…until she reached up and pulled the fire alarm!
Thanks for sharing with us, Kathy! Check back on another Monday to meet a different area mom.
(Let’s go mommy is always in need of more Monday Moms, so if you are willing to be featured, please email lindy@letsgomommy.com. Thank you!)
