*HAPPY JOE’S PUMPKIN CARVING EVENT @ The NEW Zoo (4378 Reforestation Rd in Pines Shelter, Suamico): 4PM-8PM; FREE–bring your own pumpkin and carving tools
Bring your own pumpkins and pumpkin carving tools and prepare to create a masterpiece! Event will take place at the Pines Shelter off the north end of the NEW Zoo’s main parking lot. Happy Joe’s will provide FREE pizza and the zoo will provide soda to all participants. All pumpkins decorated during the event will be used to decorate the zoo for the Zoo Boo! This is a fun family event! Kids can come in costume. Event includes group pumpkin-lit walk through a darkened Nature Center where you will encounter various animals portrayed by area youth; actors will educate you about themselves and their wild ways in a fun and light-hearted way. Carve a creepy jack-o-lantern or paint a princess pumpkin. We’ll have paint and art supplies to decorate your pumpkin or carving utensils if you prefer (parent supervision required). All you need to do is bring the pumpkin. Enter a photo of your pumpkin into the contest and come back to vote for your favorite between 10/23-10/28.
