Let’s go mommy was founded in 2015 by me, Lindy (along with the much-needed help of a few others). I’m the mom of three great girls and wife of an equally great guy—all of whom put up with me and my antics on a daily basis. I was blessed to become a stay-at-home mom in 2009, but had previously worked in the marketing and advertising field for 12 years. I am a transplant to the Green Bay area, born and raised in Lower Michigan. My husband is from Wisconsin and, long story short, we met in Chicago, got married a few years later and moved to Milwaukee. In 2005, a job opportunity for him brought us to Green Bay. Some of my favorite things to do (when I’m not out and about with the kids) are studying the Bible, exercising, organizing, decorating, live music, staying up late, going to dinner with friends and making lists.
The idea for let’s go mommy was born out of the realization that there were so many things to do and places to go with kids in the Green Bay area, yet there was no single resource that listed them all in one place. Back in 2009, as a new stay-at-home mom and a relative newbie to the area, it took a lot of work and word-of-mouth to find out what activities were going on where, when and what days. After a few years I finally felt connected and “in-the-know”–save the occasional best kept secrets. So in 2013, I sat down and put the idea for let’s go mommy to paper and started executing it. Then, in 2015, when my two oldest daughters were in school full-time and my youngest would be starting 4K in the fall, I had a little more time on my hands and decided it would be a great time to launch letsgomommy.com. On May 5, 2015, let’s go mommy was launched.
For six years, let’s go mommy was essentially a labor of love for me, providing free access and information to the community with the support of some advertising partners. In 2022, in order to make it worth my continued time and energy and to cover expenses, I decided to make let’s go mommy a membership-based program. So, on February 22, 2022, the website was redesigned and re-launched, providing people with the opportunity to become members to access all of the great information and resources provided by let’s go mommy for a small annual fee. Welcome to let’s go mommy 2.0!!
