Africa Hope Run 2017

Have you heard of the Africa Hope Run? The 8th annual 5K/10K run/walk is coming up on October 21st in De Pere! I typically don’t do posts about races/runs, but I wanted to get the word out about this one since it is through my church and it’s for such a great cause.

First of all, ALL PROCEEDS from the race are used to provide clean water, food, education and medical care for AIDS orphans and the poor of Malawi, Africa. This is an ongoing mission project of Spring Lake Church in Green Bay and AQUAID Lifeline of the United Kingdom.

The event begins & ends at De Pere High School at 1700 E Chicago Street. Run begins at 8:00AM (wheelchairs & strollers start at 7:50).

Registration fees are as follows:
Adults (ages 13+): $30 in advance or $35 in person (cash only) on race day
Kids (ages 12 & under): $20 in advance or $25 in person (cash only) on race day

Long-sleeved T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 700 registrants.

The race is chip-timed. Results will be posted online after the race at www.itsracetime.com. Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each category for males and females at 9AM for the 5K and at 9:30AM for the 10K.
