Celebrate Giving Tuesday with the Green Bay Police Department and The Green Bay Children’s Museum!
E.A.T. (Easy Affordable & Tasty); Tabletop To Cops
Giving Tuesday, taking place on December 3rd, 2024 is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to encourage giving and celebrates generosity worldwide. Every year on giving Tuesday, millions of people across the globe mobilize to show up, give back, and change their communities.
The Children’s Museum of Green Bay will participate by hosting a FREE family night at the museum with The Green Bay Police Department. The event “E.A.T.” is held quarterly and consists of four main components. First, E.A.T. guests are provided with a warm, nutritionally balanced meal that is prepared using inexpensive, yet healthy ingredients.
Second, guests can interact with local law enforcement officers in a friendly environment. All events have a dedicated theme of literacy, health living, STEM, or nutrition.
Third, guests participate in educational activities stationed throughout the museum. These activities include hands-on projects that foster scientific inquiry or artistic expression while providing families with realist budget, food safety, and healthy food choice and lifestyle recommendations.
E.A.T. is offered at no cost to museum guests and is a free event for low-income families, making the museum accessible for all throughout the community. The event costs $15 a person for others, and we hold this event four times per year. Donations through the #GivingTuesday campaign will be used to help continue these efforts. No pre-reg is required.
