Free Lunches for Kids during COVID-19 School Closures

Free lunches are available for kids in the Green Bay Area during school closures for COVID-19. If your kids or any that you know are in need of meals/lunches during the school closures, below are some places where you can find them in the Green Bay area. End dates have not yet been determined. Information will be added/updated on an ongoing basis. If you know of any options that are not listed here, please contact let’s go mommy here  so they can be added.

Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay

  • The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay is looking for financial donations to create care packages for families in the area. The organization’s facilities will be closed until further notice. It will still be providing care packages including food, basic essentials, and activities to keep children engaged at home. They will be delivered to the organization’s thousands of members and families. People can donate online at BGCGB.org/donate. All funds received this week will go to the care packages.
  • Anyone who wants a care package should call the clubhouse at 920-494-7090 before Wednesday.

Chicago Street Pub in De Pere

  • Starting Wednesday, March 18, 11:00 am-1:00 pm Monday thru Friday. Free bag lunches will be offered to any children K-12.
  • Lunches will include a ham or turkey sandwich, applesauce & string cheese, and will be available for pick up in the banquet hall. Enter in the door with the sign located above that says “Lunch Pick Up” located on the east side of the building.
    • Located at 1950 Dickinson Rd, De Pere.

Gallagher’s Pizza

  • Starting Wednesday, March 18, 12:30 pm – 2 pm Monday thru Friday. Students will received a slice of pizza, fruit cup or applesauce, and a cookie to-go at all 4 locations.
  • Locations:

    • 2306 Lineville Rd, Suamico

Green Bay Area Public School District

  • Free meals will be provided by the Food Service Department. Distribution dates, times and sites will be determined. Click here for updates.

Howard-Suamico School District

  • Starting Wednesday, March 18, 10:30 am – 1:30 pm Monday thru Friday. Breakfast AND lunch for all students ages 18 and under as well as all disabled adults age 21 and under who are enrolled in public or private school.
  • Adults are able to purchase meals. Breakfast is $2, lunch is $3, and the breakfast/lunch combination is $5.
  • What to Expect Upon Arrival:
    • Each site will be open from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
    • Each site will serve breakfast and lunch (in the same bag).
    • The limit is one breakfast/lunch bag per child per day.
    • All food will be taken off-site. Families will not enter or eat in the buildings.
    • Locations indicated as Drive Through below will operate as a drive through. Meals will be picked up through cars. Families will open their trunk or window to receive the meals. There will be large traffic cones directing traffic.
    • Locations indicated as Parked Pick-Up below have tables and kitchen equipment outside of the building. A line will be formed and meals will be handed to families.
    • Servers will be wearing bright vests.

Howe Community Resource Center

  • From March 16 thru March 18, accepting food donations for drive-thru pantry
  • On March 23, from 8 am – 12 pm. Drive-thru pantry for families in the Howe Community programs. This event will also inform families of the services and resources still available while schools are closed.
    • Located at 526 S Monroe Ave, Green Bay

Salvation Army Green Bay Corps Community Center

  • Starting March 16, 11:30 am – 12:30 pm Monday thru Friday
  • The Salvation Army Corps Community Center’s Noon Lunch Program will temporarily transition to a take-out lunch program. Until further notice, lunch will be served on the Union Court (west side) of the building. Anyone in need is welcome to receive a meal in a to-go container to be served from our mobile kitchen (canteen). Drive-up service will be available.

The Unified School District of De Pere

  • Starting Tuesday, March 17, 11:45 am – 12:30 pm Monday thru Friday. Free lunch and snack bag to all kids ages 18 and under via drive-thru pick-up. There will be curbside delivery and drive-through service at 2 separate locations. If you are unable to access either of these locations, and require assistance to obtain food for your children, please contact District Social Worker Melanie Brick (920) 639-3632.
  • Locations:
    • Dickinson Elementary School, 435 S. Washington St, De Pere. (Curbside delivery will be available in front of the school’s main entrance.)
    • Optimist Park, 801 Cook St, De Pere. (Drive through service will be available in the parking lot.)

West De Pere School District

  • Starting Wednesday, March 18, Monday thru Friday from 11:00 am – 11:45 am. Free meals will be available to all students age 18 and under or persons over 18 years of age, with a disability, who also participate in a public or private non-profit school program during the regular school year.
  • No forms or registration are required to receive free meals.
  • Child(ren) must be present in the vehicle or walk/bike up to receive free meals.
  • What to Expect Upon Arrival:
    • Each site will be open from 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
    • Each site will serve breakfast and lunch ***March 18 – March 20 cold pre-packaged lunch ONLY***
    • The limit is one breakfast bag and one lunch bag per child per day.
    • All food will be taken off-site. Families will NOT enter or eat in the buildings.
    • Locations indicated as Drive Through below will operate as a drive through. Meals will be picked up through cars. Families will open their trunk or window to receive the meals.
    • Locations indicated as Packed Pick-Up below will have food truck delivery at that location.  A line will be formed and meals will be handed to families.
    • Servers will be wearing bright vests.

Wrightstown School District

  • Starting Wednesday, March 18, Monday thru Friday through April 3 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Free meals will be available to all students age 18 and under whether in school or not. Stop at one of two locations. No forms or registrations required. Students must be present to receive lunch which will include a breakfast for the next day.
