Free Summer Lunches for Kids in the Green Bay Area: 2019

Again this summer all kids ages 1-18 can get a FREE, healthy lunch at one of many locations in the Green Bay area! Locations include Green Bay’s Central and Southwest Libraries, The Wildlife Sanctuary, at one of 35 Green Bay parks, Optimist Park or West De Pere High School in De Pere, Fort Howard Park or Parkview Middle School in Ashwaubenon, Oneida Nation Elementary School, Pulaski Middle School, 7 locations in the village of Howard or at 20 schools in the Green Bay area. Some of the free summer lunch programs begin as soon as June 10th while others begin a bit later, but you can find specific dates below. Lunch trucks can only stay for 10 minutes, so don’t be late picking up your lunch! The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), which is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is administered by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, provides nutritious meals to children during the summer, when free and reduced-price school meals are typically unavailable. This program fills a void when school lunches are not available and helps parents meet the nutritional needs of their children.

Box lunches will be available from 11:00-11:15 AM Monday thru Friday at Central library and from 11:00-11:10 AM Monday thru Friday at Southwest library from June 12th through August 16th. Many times there are special story times before or after lunch, so be sure to check those out as well. Lunches must be eaten at the library during the lunch program. Feel free to bring a picnic blanket along. Adult lunches are available for purchase for $3 each. No lunches will be served on July 4th.

Box lunches will also be available at the Wildlife Sanctuary from 11:50AM-12:00PM Monday thru Friday from June 12th through August 16th. No lunches served on July 4th.
