The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Community Center will be hosting its first International Community Festival on Friday, September 16 from 3-8PM. During this special event, the Kroc Center will be open and FREE to the public.
This family-focused event will celebrate the diversity of the people in Northeastern Wisconsin and will offer a variety of experiences for children and adults including Performing Arts Programming in the Auditorium, “Around-the-World Cultural Booths” where individuals, organizations, or groups can share what their culture/place of origin/faith mean to them. Cooking Demonstrations will be held in the Commercial Kitchen & Demo area, while World Games and Art & Crafts will be ongoing in the Game Room. Storytelling will take place near the fireplace by local authors and individuals who will share children’s books and their personal stories. Outside there will be a selection of local food trucks selling concessions and a Soccer Scrimmage on the soccer field.

A Resource Center will also be available where local families can get connected with local organizations & businesses. Resource booths will help those who are interested with basic needs, housing, financial assistance, health insurance, health services including medical and mental health providers, citizenship classes, education and other support to assist with their transition into this community.
