2024 summer camp guide
Figuring out childcare for your kids for the summer and how to keep them occupied, busy and challenged is a struggle many parents face. There are lots of summer camp options in the Green Bay area and it can be hard to be aware of all the options, narrow them down and know what they offer. Let’s go mommy makes the process a little easier for parents by listing select local summer camp options and the info about them in its annual “let’s go to summer camp” guide.
Air Force Gymnastics Summer Camps
Take the “Bummer out of Summer” with Air Force Gymnastics Camps. Our half-day camps will keep the fun rolling all morning long for school-age kids who are looking for ACTION! One hour of structured gymnastics, crafts, bounce houses and games center around a fun theme each week. And what truly makes our camps extra special is our second-to-none camp staff! We are super flexible–you can sign up for a week at a time, the same day each week, or just one or two days throughout the summer. Join us for Flips, Friends, and Fun!! We can’t wait to make summer 2024 the best one yet.

Children’s Museum of Green Bay Summer Camps
Join The Children’s Museum of Green Bay for summer fun and learning! Children can enjoy 4-day afternoon camps led by trained instructors. Camps will be STEAM or Art focused. STEAMworks camps will explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, using robotics, circuits, 3D printing, slime, and much more! Art camps will explore the world of art using a variety of tools and techniques while creating colorful masterpieces along the way. Learn through creativity, projects, and brain-building fun! Museum play and snack included. (Two 1-day mini-camps that will be offered in June on 6/19 from 9:30-11:30 “Kindergarten Kick-off” for ages 4-5 and 6/27 from 1-3 “STEAMworks Myths & Legends” for ages 5-10 for $30 each.)

Edge VR Arcade Summer Camps
Further your child’s education this summer in a fun and exciting way! Our VR and GameMaker camps offer a unique blend of fun and education, immersing kids in cutting-edge technology. VR Camp will include virtual reality experiences that teach topics such as history, biology, science, astronomy, and STEM. This program is designed with balance in mind to ensure the campers get an optimal mix between VR fun and games while still learning something new every step of the way. In GameMaker Camp, kids will learn how to make their own game from start to finish using the program RPG Maker. They will make their own characters, maps, storylines, learn coding concepts and more! Each camp includes lunch, snacks, supplies and all needed hardware & software.

Good to know
Each camp uses the same curriculum each week it is offered. VR Camp I is the same camp as last year, so if your child did it last year, they should check out VR Camp II. Kroc Community Center Summer Camps
The Salvation Army Kroc Community Center offers weeklong camp options for kids ages 5-12 starting June 17th and running through August 23rd. Each week is themed and designed to include high energy activities, arts & crafts, STEM, culture and history. Camps for kids 5-6 are separate from camps for kids 7-12 to tailor all activities appropriately to their age group. Kids will spend their days in a structured environment kindling new friendships, being active and having fun! Specialty camps are also offered each week. Our camp is state licensed and all staff are trained accordingly to care for the kids. Sign up for just one week or all ten!

Good to know
Non-refundable $20 deposit per week required to reserve spot. Scholarships and financial assistance available to those who qualify. (Please inquire through Wisconsin Shares first, then reach out to Camp Director. Proof of acceptance or denial required.) Early care drop-off at 7AM is available for an additional $30 per week, per camper. Late-care pick up at 6PM is available for an additional $30 per week, per camper as well. All accounts must enroll in autopay with payments drafted on Thursday. Each camper will be provided with a snack at 9AM and 3PM and lunch at noon each day. Campers may choose to bring their own bag lunch from home. Campers should bring a water bottle, swimsuit & towel (Mon, Wed, Fri), gym shoes and sunscreen to camp.

National Railroad Museum
The National Railroad Museum offers week-long summer railroad camps that are educational and entertaining for young train enthusiasts. Participants will engage in a variety of activities while learning about trains and making friends along the way. If your child is a train-lover, this is the perfect camp for them!

Locomotive Firemen Camp (Ages 5-7): This is our first camp experience for the youngest railroaders. The camp day is short, but packed with train-related activities. We will work on crafts, play train games and build a toy train layout.
July 8-12: 9AM-12:30PM
Junior Engineers Camp (Ages 8-11): This camp is designed for younger train engineers. The camp day is a little longer and full of exciting activities around the trains. The Junior Engineers will have fun exploring trains, and we will do some basic model railroad activities.
July 22-26: 9AM-2PM
Advanced Engineers Camp (Ages 12-18): Our advanced camp is devoted to more sophisticated model railroading projects. The Advanced Engineers also take a one-day field trip to several professional railroad-related sites outside the Green Bay area. This camp goes beyond any previous camp experiences.

Odyssey Climbing & Fitness
Start your kids’ adventure this summer at Odyssey Climbing + Fitness! Odyssey’s Climbing & Adventure Camps are designed to give your kids a fun and engaging way for them to *reach* their potential (see what we did there?)! Starz Gymnastics Academy Summer Camps
Starz is offering Preschool & Recreational Summer Camps for 6 weeks this summer with different themes each week. Attend one week, all weeks or anywhere in between! Each day, camps will begin with warm-up games related to the camp theme. Students will stretch and review gymnastics and tumbling shapes and terminology, then rotate through gymnastics events including vault, bars, beam, floor and trampoline. The YMCA offers a variety of weeklong camp experiences with fun themes, from full-day urban and outdoor day camps to specialty and overnight camps. Camps run from June 10th through August 23rd and are state licensed or accredited by the American Camp Association.

Teen Leadership Camp @ Camp Wabansi for ages 14-17 (Monday through Friday 9AM-4PM)
Teen leadership programs are offered all sessions. They are designed to develop competent and confident young leaders. Spend a week learning leadership skills and techniques to last a lifetime. Start with Counselor in Training camp for ages 14-16, then progress to Assistant Counselor camp for ages 16-17.

Teen Leadership Camp, Counselor In Training @ Camp Wabansi (ages 14-16): $310 (members) or $335 (non-members) per week, plus save 20% for each additional week. Thursday overnight fee of $50 (optional).
Assistant Counselor Camp @ Camp Wabansi: Free upon completion of Counselor in Training program.
Teen Leadership Camp, Counselor in Training @ Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya (ages 14-16): Tier A $1700, Tier B $1,547, Tier C $1,420.
Assistant Counselor Camp @ Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya (ages 16-17): $200 upon completion of Counselor in Training program.

Good to know
All fees are due prior to camp session. After registration, a 2-week written notice is required to cancel your child’s week of camp and receive a partial refund. No refunds given with less than a 2-week notice. Health forms are required and must be submitted to camp at least 2 weeks prior to your child’s camp session.
