Monday Morning Moms in Green Bay

Meet Kathy Pansier!

Q: What town/city do you live in?
A: Ledgeview

Q: How many kids do you have?
A: Three

Q: What are their ages?
A: Kadence is 8, Ray is 6 and Will is 3

Q: Do you work outside the home? If so, where & what do you do?
A: My kids are my bosses at the moment. (Though I tell them I’m the boss.)

Q: What is your favorite at-home activity to do with your kids?
A: We love doing arts and crafts, playing games and having dance parties.

Q: Where is your favorite place around Green Bay to take your kids?
A: We love going to the School House (I like to shop and the kids could play there all day), we also love Barnes and Noble and the Wildlife Sanctuary.

Q: What has been your biggest parenting challenge thus far?
A: My biggest challenge has been potty training. Still working on my youngest and I continue to learn that I’m horrible at potty training.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do for yourself when you have time?
A: I love to shop! Probably a good thing I don’t have more “me” time…I also love if I can sneak off to a spa.

Q: Are you a night owl or an early bird (despite what you have to be as a mom)?
A: I’m definitely a night owl. I love the quiet after the kids go to bed and I stay up way longer than I should.

Q: Share a funny quote from one of your kids.
A:
One morning a friend (dressed up for a meeting) dropped her daughter off early. My (then 2 year old) youngest son said, as she left, “Heather has beautiful legs.” With having an older sister, my boys are great at compliments!

Q: What is your most embarrassing moment or something funny that has happened to you?
A: One funny moment was this last fall. I was horsing around with my oldest son. His head came up when I wasn’t expecting it and as the story goes from my husband, there was one hit to my face, and me hitting the floor. I had a pretty decent black eye for several days.

Q: What is something not many people know about you?
A: I started (with my sister Kristy), the Packerland Mommas Facebook group about 4 years ago. I had been following a local moms group that wasn’t a closed group (better for privacy when asking questions/posting). I decided we needed something local that provided that. We try our best to keep it low drama, and thankfully it’s been amazing! If you’re interested in joining, check it out here.

I’m a hairstylist by trade (someday I hope to get back into it), and used to work at Bernie’s Barber Shop in Green Bay, before kids. I was lucky enough to be able to cut Aaron Rodgers’ hair a few time when he first came to Green Bay in 2005. I adore Aaron Rodgers.

I published a children’s book 3 years ago. It’s called Casey Moe the Angel Cat, and though it wasn’t a big success, I’m proud of myself for doing it.

I’m very sensitive, compassionate and cry easy. I love helping others, especially kids. I don’t like confrontation, but can quickly go into Mama Bear mode if anyone crosses that line.

Thanks for sharing with us, Kathy. Check back on another Monday (hopefully next week) to meet another area mom!

Let’s go mommy is always in need of more Monday Moms, so if you are willing to be featured, simply email lindy@letsgomommy.com. Thank you!
