Meet Mary Breuer!
Q: What town/city do you live in?
A: Green Bay
Q: How many kids do you have?
A: Three girls
Q: What are their ages?
A: 3 weeks, 4 and 9
Q: Do you work outside the home? If so, where & what do you do?
A: I am currently on maternity leave, but I work at Aurora Hospital as a NICU respiratory therapist and LOVE working with the littles. In my spare time I am a maternity, newborn and family photographer and run my own photography business. You can check it out at www.marybreuerphotos.com or on Facebook at www.facebook/marybreuerphotos.
Q: What is your favorite at-home activity to do with your kids?
A: We love to play games, watch movies and play outside. Our favorite activity is walking down the road to feed our neighbors’ horse named Raja. She loves when we come to visit!
Q: Where is your favorite place around Green Bay to take your kids?
A: We love the Wildlife Sanctuary and Bay Beach!
Q: If you had one parenting tip to share that has worked for you/helped you, what would it be?
A: The biggest parenting tip I can give is admitting to your children when you are wrong, apologizing and asking for forgiveness. Showing you child that you are not perfect gives them even more reason to turn to Jesus and it also reminds them that you also make mistakes. This is also my biggest challenge as I tend to “yell” more than I would like, or even say things that I don’t mean in the midst of chaos. But when I practice this, it’s amazing how well my children respond and understand and forgive me.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do for yourself when you have time?
A: I love taking pictures and finding cheap ways to decorate my house!
Q: Are you a night owl or an early bird (despite what you have to be as a mom)?
A: I am a night owl mostly because my children are in bed and its the only peace I get.
Q: What is something not many people know about you?
A: Many people may not know that I love writing songs and singing, especially with my husband. We are working on getting our children interested in making music so we can hopefully become a family band in the future!!
Thanks for sharing with us, Mary. Check back next week to meet another area mom!
