Meet Amber Ott!
Q: What town/city do you live in?
A: Green Bay
Q: How many kids do you have?
A: 1 son
Q: What are their ages?
A: 10 months
Q: Do you work outside the home? If so, where & what do you do?
A: Yes! I work part time as a nanny for 3 kids and I also work part-time at the YMCA .
Q: What is your favorite at-home activity to do with your kids?
A: My son loves trains and building block towers–or at least knocking down Mom’s block towers. 🙂
Q: Where is your favorite place around Green Bay to take your kids?
A: We love Kidz Town! There are so many age-appropriate toys in a safe and clean environment for him to crawl around and play.
Q: If you had one parenting tip to share that has worked for you/helped you, what would it be?
A: Follow through. When he is told no but does something anyway, we get up and remove him from the situation. At such a young age he is already learning right from wrong and to listen.
Q: What do you like to do when you have time for yourself?
A: A night out with my 2 best girlfriends from high school.
Q: Are you a night owl or an early bird (despite what you have to be as a mom)?
A: Night Owl.
Q: What is something you would share with other moms to motivate/encourage them?
A: I would encourage Moms to cherish every moment. I had a difficult time getting pregnant and even when he is having a rough day, it helps me to remember what a gift he is. Kids grow and won’t want to snuggle forever, so try to soak up every second you can now. The giggles, smiles and snuggles are what keep me going!
