It’s almost time for the annual Sweet Street event in Green Bay at Shopko Hall! If you’ve never been to Sweet Street before you should definitely check it out with the family this year. It is a great indoor trick-or-treating event where the kids can show off those costumes without having to worry about getting cold or wet. And there are lots of other fun attractions besides the candy. Let’s go mommy is one of the sponsors this year, so please look for my “door” when trick-or-treating on the Street. Last year let’s go mommy hosted the cookie booth and it was a huge hit and lots of fun for my girls and I…unfortunately this year we weren’t able to do it because I’m going to be out of town attending my college homecoming and class reunion in Illinois that weekend, but we hope to return to the cookie booth next year! In the meantime, here are some of the details and things to expect at Sweet Street 2016:
When: Friday, Oct. 28, 11AM – 8PM & Saturday, Oct. 29, 9AM – 4PM
Where: Shopko Hall, 1901 South Oneida St in Green Bay
What: Shopko Sweet Street offers a busy entertainment stage with music, magic and dance performances throughout the day and many fun and interactive kid-friendly activities including Patrick’s Funny Farm Petting Zoo, the Zombie Escape Corner from Blaster Battles, the Hairspray Station from Empire Beauty School, Box Maze from Two Men & A Truck, inflatables and much more! Peanut-free candy will be handed out to trick-or-treaters in the newly expanded street.
There will also be a costume contest on Saturday with judging from 9:30-10:30AM inside Sweet Street (as well as one from 7-8AM outside for those participating in the Spooky Sprint). The winner will be announced on the entertainment stage at 11:00AM.
Plus, everyone participating in the Aurora BayCare Spooky Sprint on Saturday, 10/29 will receive a FREE ticket to Shopko Sweet Street in their race packet. Race start is outside of the Brown County Arena. Race options include a 1K Family Fun Run, 5K and 10K; 5K & 10K begin at 8, Family Fun Run begins at 9. Online registration is open until Wednesday, 10/26 at midnight. To register, go to: www.AuroraBaycare.com/spookysprint.
Cost: Tickets are $6 at the door and children under 2 are free (please note: kids under 2 do not receive candy at the trick-or-treat houses unless a ticket is purchased for them). Admission includes a trick-or-treat bag and free parking at Lambeau Field. Save $1 each by purchasing tickets in advance through Oct. 27 at any Green Bay area Shopko stores, the Ticket Star box office in the Resch Center or online at www.SweetStreetGreenBay.com.

We have never been to this event. It sounds more fun than I ever knew it was!
What a great indoor event!
I LOVE seeing all the kiddos in costume!
My kids love the box maze!
ALWAYS a great time for the kids!!
Inside, so it’s warm for the little kids.
We love the indoor aspect of it. With little kids it gets chilly out and the kids can still go trick or treating then!
We love all the fun Halloween decorations at Sweet Street. Such a nice event for kids to be able to participate in in a safe environment
Looking forward to a fun time trick or treating in a safe environment!!
