Enjoy a stroll through the National Railroad Museum with dozens of beautifully decorated and themed Christmas trees among the historic locomotives.
Come see dozens of uniquely decorated trees created by local businesses and organizations as you stroll through our historic exhibits! The Festival of Trees enchants more than 20,000 visitors each year. Our Festival of Trees runs from November 20, 2025, through January 4, 2026. The event is included in the daily admission price.
The Museum also closes earlier on days that The Polar Express Train Ride is scheduled in November and December.
Festival of Trees goes on during normal business hours & is included with regular museum admission:
Monday & Wednesday thru Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Tuesdays: 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
CLOSED CHRISTMAS EVE, CHRISTMAS DAY, NEW YEAR’S DAY & CLOSES AT 2PM ON NEW YEAR’S EVE
*PLEASE NOTE: Times of the event are subject to change. During days of the The Polar Express Train Ride event, the Museum closes one hour prior to the start of that day’s first show. Polar Express shows are:12/5, 12/6, 12/7, 12/12, 12/13, 12/14
Friday’s first shows are at 4, so museum will close at 3 on those dates. Saturday’s first shows are at 2, so museum will close at 1 on those dates.
