It’s almost time for the annual Shopko Sweet Street event in Green Bay at Shopko Hall! If you’ve never been to Shopko Sweet Street before, you should definitely check it out with your family this year! It is a great indoor trick-or-treating event where the kids can show off their costumes without having to worry about getting cold or wet. And there are LOTS of other fun attractions besides the candy! (Let’s go mommy is one of the sponsors again this year and will be at the “cookie booth”, so please stop by our booth to say hi and decorate your own cookie.) Here are some of the details and things you can expect at Shopko Sweet Street 2018:
When: Friday, Oct. 26, 11AM – 8PM & Saturday, Oct. 27, 8:30AM – 4PM
Where: Shopko Hall, 1901 South Oneida St, Green Bay
What: Shopko Sweet Street offers a busy entertainment stage and many fun and interactive kid-friendly activities like playing in the “School House Little Ones Play Area”, decorating cookies with let’s go mommy, jumping in inflatables, games and fitness fun by Courage Martial Arts, face painting, balloon animals, a petting zoo, St. Norbert science corner, family photographs with Ambrosius Studios, trick-or-treating for peanut-less candy & treats on the Sweet Street and more!
Don’t miss the costume contest on Saturday with judging from 7AM – 8AM and 9:30AM – 10:30AM. There will be categories for adult, child, group and family. Winners will be announced on the entertainment stage at 11AM.
Cost: Tickets are $6 at the door and children under 2 are free (please note: kids under 2 do not receive candy at the trick-or-treat houses unless a ticket is purchased for them). Admission includes a trick-or-treat bag and free parking at Lambeau Field. Save $1 per ticket by purchasing tickets in advance through Oct. 25 at all Green Bay area Shopko stores, the Ticket Star box office in the Resch Center or online at www.ReschCenter.com.
There is also a “Spooky Sprint” Saturday morning. Everyone participating in the Aurora BayCare Spooky Sprint on Saturday, 10/27 will receive a FREE ticket to Shopko Sweet Street in their race packet. Race start is outside of the Brown County Arena. Race options include a 1K Family Fun Run, 5K or 10K. The 5K & 10K will begin at 8AM, the Family Fun Run will begin at 9AM.
