Meet Mayme Daoust!
Q: What town/city do you live in?
A: Green Bay
Q: How many kids do you have?
A: Four
Q: What are their ages?
A: They are 9,8,7 and 2.
Q: Do you work outside the home? If so, where & what do you do?
A: I am a stay-at-home-mom.
Q: What is your favorite at-home activity to do with your kids?
A. Do crafts, bake and play outside in the yard with the kiddie pool and water squirties.
Q: Where is your favorite place around Green Bay to take your kids?
A: Kiddie Pool and parks.
Q: If you had one parenting tip to share that has worked for you/helped you, what would it be?
A: During the school year, set a bedtime for the kids and stick with it. The kids won’t be tired and cranky and their is more structure. During the summer bedtime can be later and more flexible.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do for yourself when you have time?
A: Going to the store with no kids. 🙂
Q: Are you a night owl or an early bird (despite what you have to be as a mom)?
A: Both! I’m a night owl and an early riser.
Q: What is your “story” that you would like to share with others to motivate/encourage/inspire them?
A: I’m battling Breast Cancer. I found out last year at the end of June. This month I finish my treatments but will still have to take a pill everyday for 5-10 years with doctor appointment every 3-6 months for five years. My advice to others is: when times get tough, don’t give up! Keep going and fight whatever battle it is for your kids, husband, family and friends.
Thanks for sharing with us, Mayme. Your story is definitely inspiring & so glad to hear that it sounds like you have made it through the hardest part of cancer and have a good prognosis!
