Monday Morning Moms in Green Bay

Meet Holly Williams!

Q: What town/city do you live in?
A:  De Pere

Q: How many kids do you have?
A:  Two boys

Q: What are their ages?
A:  Creig is 2 and Fritz is 4

Q: Do you work outside the home? If so, where & what do you do?
A:  Yes. I am Vice President of Consumer Events for PMI Entertainment Group. I oversee the production and management of over 15 event productions each year along with events that rent our facilities, which include Shopko Hall and the Brown County Arena.

Q: What is your favorite at-home activity to do with your kids?
A.  When it’s warm, we love to go for walks every night and explore the many playgrounds and parks in the East De Pere neighborhoods.

Q: Where is your favorite place around Green Bay to take your kids?
A:  We love to go outside as much as possible and Voyageur Park is one of our favorites. The Kress Library is another favorite along with the many family-friendly events at the Resch Center Complex including Sweet Street, Disney on Ice, the Circus, etc.

Q: If you had one parenting tip to share that has worked for you/helped you, what would it be?
A:  The tip that I have found the most successful is to get your kids on a schedule as early as possible. It helps keep everyone in a good mood because they will be well rested and know when to expect meals, play time, etc. Potty training has been our biggest challenge, and I know that parents hate to hear this, but it will come with time. Don’t get frustrated!

Q: What is your favorite thing to do for yourself when you have time?
A:  This doesn’t happen often, but I do enjoy working outside in the garden. Also, more often I am not ashamed to admit that I watch reality TV…it takes my mind off of all the seriousness of work!

Q: Are you a night owl or an early bird (despite what you have to be as a mom)?
A:  Neither! I like to sleep as late as possible in the morning and go to bed by 10 PM every night. I tend to get the most accomplished at home between 8 PM – 10 PM once the boys go to bed.

Q: What is something you would like to share with others to motivate/encourage or inspire them?
A: I would just like to share that parenting is definitely a team effort. I am extremely lucky to have the support of my husband James. We work together to pick up and drop off kids, (which is more challenging with preschool this year as two working parents), clean the house, etc. I have learned not to sweat the small stuff and enjoy your time with the kids, they grow so fast!

Thanks for sharing with us, Holly! Check back on another Monday to meet a different area mom.
