Are you wondering what fall family fun you can have in the Green Bay Area this October?
There’s so much to do and so little time!! Here’s your guide to over 20 fun events, many of which are free! Get all the details here so you can plan your fall family fun now:
1) Pumpkin Carving at NEW Zoo: 10/5 from 4-8.
The event will take place at the Pines Shelter, off the north end of the NEW Zoo’s main parking lot. Bring your own pumpkins and pumpkin-carving tools to create a pumpkin masterpiece! If you are unable to bring your own pumpkins, you are still welcome to attend! We ask that you bring your own carving supplies. Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream will provide FREE PIZZA and the zoo will provide drinks to everyone who participates. Happy Joe’s mascot, “Happy the Dog” will also make an appearance that night to meet guests! This is a great opportunity for families, along with larger groups such as scout troops, as well as church or school service groups, and more. Everyone is welcome! All pumpkins carved during the event remain at the Zoo to be used to decorate for Zoo Boo.

2) Fall Playdate at Titletown Park: 10/5 from 5-7.
Enjoy an outdoor playdate with your favorite characters–jam to all your favorite music and enjoy a complimentary themed craft. Come anytime between 5-7 and see the “Miracle Sisters”.

3) Campfire Fridays at Titletown Park: 10/7 & 14 from 5:30-7:30.
Gather ‘round the campfire on Fridays at Titletown. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. We’ll have family-friendly entertainment to jump-start the weekend. Please note that outside carry-ins are not permitted for this event.

4) Zoo Boo at the NEW Zoo: 10/7, 10/8, 10/14, 10/15, 10/21 & 10/22 from 3-8.
Come as you are or in costume!! All guests over age 1 will receive a bag of candy upon arrival (even adults)! Play kids’ games, ride the carousel, see the animals, make your way through the Happy Haunted Maze in the Children’s Zoo and enjoy all the spooktacular, family-friendly decorations. Feeling brave? Don’t miss a walk through the Haunted Zoo Zone if you dare! New this year is an optional Canopy Tour Combo Ticket! For just $5 more enjoy all the fun of the Zoo PLUS a walk through the new Neil Anderson Canopy Tour! Tickets will have timed entries for each arrival window. Guests can choose to arrive during a 60-90 minute arrival window (3-4, 4-5, 5-6 or 6-7:30). Gates close at 7:30. Once they arrive, guests can stay in the Zoo as long as they wish until it closes at 8PM. Canopy Tour’s last departure will be 7PM. Tickets available online only here starting 10/1.

5) Family Fun Day at Navarino Nature Center: 10/8 from 9-2.
Ok, this one isn’t in Green Bay. It’s about 40 minutes away, but it sounded so fun I had to include it. There will be crafts, activities, tours of the wildlife area, vendors, apple pressing, delicious food and more!

6) Pumpkin Fest at Festival Foods: 10/8 from 8-5.
Get great deals on pumpkins at all Festival Foods locations. You can also stock up on donuts, cider, corn stalks and gourds.
COST: Cost of pumpkins, etc.
7) Fall Fest on Broadway: 10/8 from 11-3.
Enjoy a day of family-friendly fall activities in the Broadway District including trick-or-treating, music, pumpkin painting, games and more. Take a ride on a horse-drawn carriage, paint pumpkins, participate in fall activities and more. Bring the kids in costume if they wish! Get a trick-or-treating map from the map station on Hubbard Street during Fall Fest.

8) The BIG Event for LITTLE Kids at Heritage Hill: 10/8 from 9-3.
Enjoy a day of family-friendly fun at Heritage Hill. The Big Event is a day for children and families to EXPLORE, PLAY & DISCOVER! Here’s what you’ll find at the BIG event: A bit of nature, BIG vehicles to explore, Bounce houses, Catered family-friendly food, Children’s entertainment, Costume characters, Creative art projects, Face painting, Health and sporting & interactive activities
COST: $5 each in advance, $7 at the door (under age 1 FREE)
9) The Great Pumpkin Train at the National Railroad Museum: 10/8 & 10/15 from 9-5.
Enjoy a fun-filled day of music, games, activities and pumpkin selecting! Rain or shine, each admission includes live entertainment, crafts and games for kids of all ages & a train ride to the pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin (included with admission). Train rides begin at 9:15AM.
COST: $17 for ages 2 & up
10) Pumpkin Palooza at Titletown District Park: 10/15 from 10-4.
Participants can help Titletown create a one-of-a-kind, 500-pumpkin display by carving pumpkins with members of their family or group at Titletown. Pumpkins and all supplies provided. Fall and Halloween décor will be set up throughout Titletown for ample photo opportunities, with tree lights and displays.

11) Special Fall-themed Storytimes at Brown County Libraries
Mo Willems’ Zoom Squirrel Storytime @ Central on 10/15 from 1:30-2. Meet Zoom the squirrel from Mo Willems’ Unlimited Squirrels series. We will share squirrel stories and funny acorn jokes. Stay for an acorn craft.
Picnic & Play: Pumpkin Picks @ Kress on 10/20 from 10:30-11:15. Pumpkins everywhere! Join Cindy Lee from De Pere Parks & Rec and Sara the public health nurse to get the scoop on pumpkins, harvest and Halloween. Feel free to come in costume!
Meet Nermal, the Talking Parrot @ Ashwaubenon on 10/17 from 6-7. This one may not be fall/Hallween themed, but it sounds really fun!! Enjoy meeting Nermal, the “not quite normal” African Grey Parrot and her owner, Jacquie. The most intelligent of the parrot species, Nermal loves talking and being around kids. Join us for this family-friendly event featuring a feathered friend!
Halloween in Howard @ Weyers Hilliard on 10/24 from 5:30-6:30. Celebrate Halloween a week early! Come to the library for some trick-or-treating. Wear your costume, bring your bucket, collect some candy and stop by our photo booth for a picture!

12) Jack-O-Lantern Walk at Barkhausen: 10/21 & 10/22 from 6-9.
Enjoy a fall evening in the woods with the entire family! Join us for an evening autumn walk through the preserve on a 1.25 mile trail lit with over 100 jack-o-lanterns! Wheelchair & stroller accessible. Pre-registration is required. No food or beverages will be provided. Restrooms will be available. Event is rain or shine, no refunds. You can arrive anytime between 5:30-8:30

13) Spooktacular at Lambeau Field Atrium: 10/22 from 9-3.
Experience the thrills & chills of Halloween in the Lambeau Field Atrium! This FREE Packers community event features balloon animals, interactive entertainment, face painting, crafts and more! Entertainment includes The Circus Science Spectacular (10 & 1), Duke Otherwise, Children’s Music & Stories (11 & 2) and Children’s Book Reading at noon. Enjoy all the fun decorations and photo opps all around the atrium.

14) Trick or Treat Trail at Josten Park: 10/22 from 10-12.
Take a leisurely walk along the wooded trail, collect candy, pick out a pumpkin and have a time you and your child will never forget! For ages 2-10. Pre-registration is required and fills up quickly. Register on the Village of Bellevue website or by calling 920-468-5225.

15) Trick or Treat in De Pere : 10/22 from 11-2.
Downtown De Pere provides a safe and friendly environment for parents and kids to trick-or-treat during daylight hours. Businesses will open their doors to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters.

16) Trick or Treat with Casper at Bay Park Cinema : 10/22 & 10/23 from 9:30-12.
Things are getting SPOOKY at Marcus Theatres! Grab the family and join us to Trick-or-Treat with Casper at the Movies! Admission includes: Screening of Casper, Trick-or-Treat stations, Family-Friendly activities and more! Doors and activities open at 9:30. Screening of Casper starts at 10:30. Costumes encouraged! (Sorry, no masks or toy weapons).

17) Trunk or Treat at Howe Community Center: 10/28 from 4-6.

18) Family Fun Night at KROC Center: 10/28 from 5:30-8.
Family Fun Nights are back! Come join us for a Friday evening at the Kroc Center. Bring your friends and family and take part in activities, crafts, and have a snack with us!
COST: $5 per person (FREE for Members)
19) Boo Fest at Festival Foods locations: 10/29 from 10-2.
This in-store trick-or-treat event will be held at all Festival Foods locations across Wisconsin on 10/29 from 10-2. We’ll have plenty of activities and goodies for the kids. For those with food allergies, we’ll have our teal pumpkins to mark those areas that are offering allergen-free options, including a few trinkets.

20) Halloween at the YMCA at West Side & Downtown locations: 10/29 from 5-8.
Calling all ghosts, goblins and ghouls! Bring the whole family to the YMCA for spooky family fun!! There will be different activities depending on the location you choose. Downtown will have: gymnastics, treehouse, carnival games, magician, light dinner, tattoos, and a spooky hall, and more. West Side will have: haunted hall, spooky room, Mischief & Magic Sideshow Bus, creepy-crawly creatures, carnival games with prizes, BINGO, bounce houses, glow stick dance party, popcorn, costume parade, and more. Activities are geared to ages 10 & under.

21) Pumpkin Patches & Apple Orchards
Of course, visiting a pumpkin patches and/or apple orchard is a fall must! And there are 14 in the Green Bay area!!
