Supervised Park Playground Programs 2020

The Supervised Park Playground Programs this summer look a little different than in past years due to Covid-19, but it is still happening in Ashwaubenon and Green Bay! There are fewer parks participating this year and there are some changes to the programs. De Pere made the difficult decision to cancel their supervised park program for 2020.

Each program is slightly different, but as a general rule, these programs are for kids ages 6 & up. It is a FREE, drop-in program, but for Ashwaubenon, kids need to be registered in the program to participate. The parks are staffed with “Parkees” who are area high school students and positive role models who plan and lead activities to do with the kids throughout the summer. Activities include arts and crafts, games, sports, theme weeks and more! It is not necessary to be a resident of the given city to participate in the program and it is FREE!

Please note that while recreation staff will supervise participants during scheduled activities they are not responsible for keeping track of children for the duration of the day and this should not be used as a substitute for child-care services. Kids may come and go as they please and participate in the scheduled activities of their choice at any of the participating parks. Staff is also not responsible for providing activities for non-registered children where registration is required. Playgrounds are subject to close if there is inclement weather such as lightning/thunder, heavy rain, hail, extreme wind or exceedingly hot temperatures.
